NOVEMBER (first installment)... MaryAnn and Melinda save the day!
November was busy busy busy! We had just moved in with Nathan's dad Pat on the 24th of October, and two weeks later I was panicking because the house was NOT ready for guests the following week. Nathan's brother Derek and his wife Camilla would be visiting from England, and the rest of the family would also be coming for their open house and to celebrate Thanksgiving. Most of them would be staying with US! I was mega stressed. In tears, even. We had boxes of our things all over the place, and the house was in disarray in other ways as well. I called my sweet cousin MaryAnn to vent, and she decided to drive up from Washington DC to come help me! What a godsend. She and her sister (sweet cousin Melinda) came up along with MaryAnn's little boy Thomas, and they worked their tails off to help get things done. We unpacked, cleaned, and made some DIY improvements. It was the kind of overwhelming job that stops me in my tracks and pretty much handicaps me. MaryAnn and Melinda were my miracle workers. Sorry, I didn't get any pictures of our renovations! I'm so glad that we got to do a couple of fun things, too. We went to Bar Harbor and saw the coast and the Bass Harbor Headlight. We also ate some lobster! It was great. MaryAnn and Melinda, I love you guys! And thank you, Jon (MaryAnn's husband) for letting her come for a week! I'll never forget it!

There is an icecream store in Bar Harbor that
sells Lobster Ice Cream! I've tried it. It's weird.
It has chunks of lobster meat in vanilla ice cream.

I cut my hair during the first week of November! It was A LOT to cut off, but it has been a fun style.
I'm always happy to encourage MA to go do fun things while I'm stuck in school. We wish we were closer to you guys!
You got some pretty awesome pictures!!! Jon and I can't wait to be in the New England area soon! He is getting his licenses in order! Right now it looks like we will be in eirther Virginia or Maryland.
OH how I love Bar Harbor! Please give Maryann my address and BEG her to let me see her blog!! These pictures made me miss Maine SO much!
